EAC-safe overlay setup for Fortnite

Fortnite runs through the Epic Games launcher with Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC)—kernel detection, behavioral analysis, and frame-buffer screenshot capture. EAC-safe overlay mode hides ESP, loot ESP, and aimbot UI from EAC screenshots, OBS, Windows Game Bar, and most capture software while keeping overlays visible on your monitor. Content creators on Lite and higher tiers use it to play with awareness without broadcasting wallhack boxes to viewers or EAC review frames.

Enable EAC-safe overlay in loader

Launch Fortnite through the Epic Games launcher—not Steam. Open the external loader → Overlay tab → enable EAC-safe overlay mode → apply before launching OBS or queuing ranked. Toggle is per-preset—save stream and ranked configs separately in cloud sync.

OBS test workflow

Record 30 seconds locally with your live scene collection. Playback must show clean game feed—no player boxes, skeleton ESP, or loot icons. Test game capture and display capture modes separately; dual-monitor setups behave differently.

Game Bar and capture cards

Windows Game Bar capture (Win+G) respects EAC-safe overlay on most builds—verify with a test clip. Hardware capture cards reading raw HDMI may still show overlays if signal passes through a composited path—test your exact cable chain before going live.

Pair with conservative ESP

EAC-safe overlay hides ESP from capture and EAC frame-buffer screenshots; it does not make gameplay legit on stream if you call out hidden info. Creators often run Lite ESP privately while keeping broadcast commentary clean. Map defaults: ESP setup.

Unlock All and capture

Unlock All cosmetics may appear on capture depending on client path—test separately from ESP EAC-safe overlay. Mythic skin particles on stream can look suspicious even when ESP is hidden.
